The third series of His Dark Materials contained the biggest and most ambitious sets of my career thus far - from the miles of faux corten steel of Asriels fortress, through forty gold leafed doors in the magisterium to the winding roots and trunks of the Mulefa tree world. This job pushed my knowledge and practice of finishes to a new level.
